  7. Contestants must have a Facebook account and use it to tag themselves in the photos uploaded to Facebook to verify that the photos are of them. Untagged photos will be disqualified.

3. Scoring

The competition's scoring is divided into two parts. Half of the points will depend on public votes, and half of the points will be awarded by judges selected by Coscraft Limited. The two scores are added to form an entry's final score.

  1. Public voting

All entries will be made available to view on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/coscraft) and Coscraft (http://www.coscraft.co.uk/). Each "like" for an entry on Facebook counts as one vote. Points will be awarded to the top ten "likes" as below:

    1st - 50
    2nd - 48
    3rd - 46
    4th - 44
    5th - 42
    6th - 40
    7th - 38
    8th - 36
    9th - 34
    10th - 32

  2. Judiging

The top ten entries will be put to the judges, who can award up to 50 points for each entry. Judges' criteria include, but are not limited to:

    • Accuracy to the character.
    • Complexity of the wig.
    • Neatness of the wig.
    • Quality of any additions to the wig that is part of the cosplay, such as hair accessories and horns, if these additions are handmade by the contestant and not shop-bought.

Points will NOT be awarded or deducted for:

    • Any costume worn with the wig. This is a wig styling contest.
    • The use of shop-bought hair acccessories. However if hair accessories are part of the character and they are not present, this may affect the accuracy score.

    Points may be deducted for:

    • Any post-processing of submitted photos, such as the use of photo-editing software to change colours or correct errors.

4. Terms and Conditions

  1. By entering this competition, the contestant agrees to allow Coscraft Limited to use their submission, in part or in full, as promotional material.
  2. Total value of prizes is an estimate and will depend on wigs selected by the winners.
  3. Winners are to select their prizes within one year. Prizes will be delivered by mail in up to 3 lots so winners do not have to select all the wigs in one go. The wigs available for selection are subject to stock levels.
  4. The winners are responsible for any import taxes and other fees associated with the delivery of prizes.
  5. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify an entry if:
    • it is proven that the contestant has not produced the entry themselves.
    • it is proven that voting on that entry is rigged.
    • the contestant shows unsportsmanlike behaviour towards other contestants, voting public or the organisers.
The above list is not exhaustive.
  6. It may be necessary for judges to contact contestants with questions about their entries. All communication will be conducted by email. If contestants fail to reply they may be disqualified.
